Hymnody

Hymnody Seminars

Welcome to this series of online seminars on hymns and hymnody, led by the Rev’d Canon Giuseppe Gagliano, Canon for Lay Ministries in the Diocese of Quebec. We will be exploring what hymns are, why they are significant, and how they can guide us in Christian life. In each session, we will also look more closely at particular hymns to get a deeper sense of their meaning and purpose.

These seminars will run every Wednesday at 2:00 pm EST (for about 45 minutes in length) from July 22nd to August 26th:

July 22 – Part I – Hymnody Basics – Slideshow (Audio below begins at 42 seconds)

August 12 – Part IV – Eucharistic Hymns
